This boutique studio of sweet creations offers a luxurious and, above all, original repertoire of harmonious flavours and shapes. The Chocolate Delight, as one of the confectionery products is called, is an encounter with chocolate in person: dark chocolate mousse and cream, a gluten-free chocolate brownie, and a chocolate crisp hidden in an elegant sleeve covered in a smooth chocolate icing.
The story is similar with Sicily: pistachio namelaka and Sicilian pistachio mousse decorate a pistachio sponge covered with pistachio icing and filled with raspberry insert.
There is a special section of fit desserts created in collaboration with a nutritionist and a personal trainer. They sell Italian-inspired gourmet sandwiches, but be quick or they will run out. Zanoodle is a place charmingly combining influences from different cuisines, from Asian to Mediterranean, while its seasonally updated menu is enriched by local specialties as well.
The menu is more imaginative, adventurous and tasty from year to year year. The new inventions are mixed with classics, so deciding what to eat can be a tough decision in the end. And yet β their house kimchi, their cold zanoodleslaw salad with green apple and mustard for the final touch, and their house noodles with meat, prawns or vegan-style are classics not to be missed.
This is because they know why to put leek oil on mackerel or juniper berries in aged beef, because they know how to play with umami tastes β they do it in the manner of unobtrusive masters. The food is delicious and the guests are happy to return. Their macaroons, eclairs, mignons, pralines, croissants, pockets and buns are exemplary, and the creativity with which they enhance classic desserts is fascinating.
